Letter: Massillon Ohio May 27, 1890. with authentic handwritten by Coxey letter on back of a horse sale advert company office letterhead paper regarding divorce, horses & plans (pre first ever march on Washington in which London participated). Folded Letter is glued at top edge to the inside of first board. Also comes with a xerox copy of the flattened letter for easier reading. company letterhead horse advert is for Acolyte 3747. Letter is fragile and beginning to tear across middle fold. see below for details on Coxey's life and how it involved London. As a side note Jack London's mother, Flora Wellman, was born and grew up in Massillon Ohio Book: USA Macmillan Company. Setup and electrotyped. Published November, 1907. 224 pages, 2 pages of ads. Light gray V cloth. The lettering on the cover and spine is gilt. The cover decoration is a railroad car enclosed in a black bordered circle with a black background and with two railroad track designs running vertically on either side. Top edge is gilt gold. 48 splendid photographs. Copies printed: 5,360.
