This is a first edition paperback copy of "Recollections of James Francis Riley 1838 - 1918" published by John Riley James in Independence, Missouri in 1959. This book includes a great deal of information on the Santa Fe Trail, freighting by ox and mule teams, a trip in 1859 from Missouri to Salt Lake City, cattle driving, a man killed during a cattle stampede, Indians and buffalo, trouble on the border between Kansas and Missouri, travels to Fort Union, and travels to New Mexico by mule team train. This copy has a few minor creases on the front cover, but is otherwise a very fine copy. This is a vintage item and as such, it may show signs of wear.
