Wide An incredible early Leroy Neiman stunning original drawing rendered in several inks titled ?BRANDY LUTECE?, depicting a man and woman holding giant brandy snifters within a scene high in ambiance. Lutèce was a reknown landmark French restaurant on the East side in Manhattan that operated for more than 40 years before closing in early 2004. It once had a satellite restaurant on the Las Vegas Strip.The artistic hashmark lines were actually a part of the restaurant?s wooden lattice decor which was located against the back of one of the walls behind the tables Neiman?s stunning use of lines is instantly recognizable in this piece. An early classic in his genre of the Neiman lifestyle artwork, the drawing is rendered in several types of inks. Leory Neiman signed and dated and titled the piece ?Brandy Lutece ?74, Leroy Neiman? along the bottom of the drawing. An outstanding example, in excellent condition, presented floating with a deep beveled mat, framed and glazed to a finished size of 17.5? Tall X 15.5? Wide.
