We've treated and conditioned leather with protector balm. Missing end pages. Page 165 has small segment that's been cut out.. does not effect text. Textblock has sparse marginalia throughout. Henry Neville was the unnamed translator of this influential English edition, whose aim was to present Machiavelli as advising princes who tyrannize to reform, and not cause men to rebel.
