Henry Noel Humphreys
The Origin and Progress of the ART OF WRITING A Connected Narrative
London: 1853. Spine is broken, see pictures. A project for a keen bookbinder! A few pages are stained, none are marked with either ink or pencil, no corners have been turned down. Front and back have cracks in what I assume are carved decorations. "The Origin and Progress of the ART OF WRITING A Connected Narrative" by Henry Noel Humphreys, 1853. This book has been in the family since who knows when, I assume it was a great-grandparent's but have no way to know. I have looked after it for several decades but feel it is now time for it to pass to somebody else, preferably one able and interested enough to re-bind it. The broken spine is pretty much the only problem with it - its been like that as long as I can remember, I didn't break it! - as the actual quality and clarity of the printed pages is amazing. The coloured pages especially are astonishing, the colour seems to me to be as good as new. The book will be extremely well packed. If you are outside UK kindly get in touch re postage. In fact, in UK get in touch re postage too, please. If its possible to deliver or pick up that would be helpful. I will be covering the postage costs and will do everything to make sure it is posted securely.
