American Heritage Publishing Company. Mint Condition, 1966 publication. RARE Mint Condition: Set #557 of the 1966 American Heritage Collectors' Folio edition of the four hundred, thirty-one (431) unbound prints of the first official New York Historical Society edition of their original watercolor paintings John James Audubon produced for his historic publication, "The Birds of America." The majority of the prints are approximately 13x10.5 inches. The remaining prints are 21x13 inches. This 1966 American Heritage printing in folio size was limited to 750 sets. Fewer than 400 of these sets have been accessible by the general public. Each print is authentically marked "Copyright 1966 by the New York Historical Society: All Rights Reserved." This set also includes one uncut copy of the descriptive book by Davidson, Dwight, Amadon, and Rickett, describing the images produced to accompany the folio prints. *All proceeds of this sale go to The Henderson County Education Foundation of Hendersonville, NC. "The mission of the Henderson County Education Foundation is to develop resources to support educational excellence in Henderson County Public Schools: Founded in October 1986, the Henderson County Education Foundation, HCEF, has provided resources aimed at improving the educational experience for Henderson County students and citizens for 33 years.
