Harris No 70 St Paul's Churchyard, 1775 Miniature Leather Bound Volume. Thumb Bible, Later Edition. Small volume (1 and ¾ inches tall) with engraved title page and a second engraved title to the New Testament, and 14 engraved plates Original dark green morocco gilt, with oval onlays to the front and rear boards, bearing the initials IHS or JHS (Jesus The Saviour of Men). This small Bible was first published in 1771, 1774 and 1775 with variations on the title page and gatherings (either 8 or 16). This volume collates A to Q in gatherings of 8. This is a re-issue of Harris's first printing of 1771.
