This book is a 1st edition, printed in London in 1739 by Samual Richardson, in Salisbury Court. This book is an original 1739 and includes an incredible account of the history of London. With topics such as churches, courts, commerce, schools, the arts, inns and alehouses and even a complete list of the streets, plus much, much more. It is also filled with engraving plates, some of which fold out. The book is approx. 16 1/4" tall x 10 1/2" wide x 2 3/4" thick and weighs 9 lbs 24oz. For being over 281 years old, this book has stood the test of time. It does show it's age, beautifully!
