This book was one of four books printed in the 16th century on English land surveying. G. E. Fussell notes the following in his book titled The Old English Farming Books From Fitzherbert To Tull 1523 to 1730 "But while surveying is of great importance to agriculture to-day, it was even more important in the days of open field cultivation" GOOD HARDCOVER, with four fold out plates. Binding is title, and pages are clean without foxing or other damage. Defects noted: Missing is the title page and Index page. Upper page edge has been cut a little short but does not affect page titles. An Important book on English surveying including legal aspects of local courts and administration of manors.
