Gesangbuch zum gottesdienstlichen Gebrauch in den Königlich Preussischen Landen
In der Mylissischen Buchhandling, 1823. Small 8vo, contemporary black velveteen stamped in gilt, tooled red leather onlay to each board with a green heart device applied to each, [vi], 378 pages, decorated paste-downs, a.e.g., gauffered edges. Contemporary decorated paste-paper decorated two-piece slipcase. Final gathering trimmed a little close, with some loss to the signature and catchword. Fragile velvet binding rubbed at the cords and corners; slipcase rubbed; lower panel renewed. Text a little foxed throughout. A pretty copy of the Mylius Hymnal (first published in 1781 as a reformed work to reflect the drift of Enlightenment thought), this in an especially pleasing decorated German (provincial?) binding with a contemporary slipcase that has preserved the velvet covers and onlays well. With contemporary family notes in MS (1838 et seq.) on the first and final blank leaves.
