Moby Dick release script signed by Ray Bradbury w/ letter of authentcity
Ventura: John Anthony Miller - Phantom Bookshop, 1997. Facsimile. Very good. Moby Dick release script Signed and dated to myself as shown by Ray Bradbury. The all important item for a Bradbury collector. The script that launched his career, made into a film by John Huston now a classic. This film script is a REPLICA or facsimile I made years ago of an authentic release script that I had many years ago and sold. Original Moby Dick film scripts by Ray Bradbury are expensive, this is a reasonable alternative with an original inscription. I copied this, page by page including the blue section as shown. The original came with a label as shown bound in cardboard and held together with a cord. Ray signed the label on the ORIGINAL script and then it was sold. I copied that label on a color copier and affixed that on this script. This repllca script was as close as I could come to the original and you will agree when you receive it. Ray Bradbury inscribed my replica copy to me in 1997 on the first page as shown. He did not like signing his major film scripts for several reasons (at that time) and advised me not tosell any of these after I posed the question. (He told me regarding selling any others: ' I wouldn't do it...') and inscribed my replica to myself as shown with a date. This item is from my personal collection. The label on the front cover with the signature is a reproduction, and I will note that with the script I personally presented this item to Ray Bradbury for his signature/date and inscription as shown years ago at his home in Cheviot Hills, California at the time.
