69-Valencia-In Officina Viduae Josephi de Orga, 1766. Book. A scarce set of the works of Louis of Granada. Volumes I and III of III of Concionum De Praecipuis Sanctorum Fesits. Volumes I, IV-VI of VI of Concionum de Tempore. In Latin. With a portrait, illuminated letters, and decorative head and tail pieces. All volumes scarce. Copac lists only one copy of each set held at the National Library of Scotland. Louis of Granada was a Dominican friar who was a noted theologian, writer and preacher. He wrote prolifically, producing 45 works in total in Spanish, Latin and Poruguese. Condition: In full vellum bindings with original ties and ink spine titles. Externally, sound with heavy handling marks and marks to the boards. Light rubbing to all volumes and slight bumping to extremities. Small amount of worming to boards of Tempore Vol. 4. Rear hinge failed to Tempore Vol 6 and Tempore Vol. 4, tender to Praecipuis Vol I. Front hinge failed to Praecipuis Vol. I andTempore Vol. 4. Small label to head of spine of Tempore Vol. 1. Internally, all volumes generally firmly bound aside from Tempore Vol. 4 which is weak throughout. Pages bright and generally clean with just the odd spot. Overall: GOOD ONLY. GOOD ONLY.
