First Edition (s). Three-quarter black Morocco and cloth covered boards. Titles and volumes in gilt on spine. Vol. 126-133 (1922-1925 complete set) Vol. 135/136 (July-Dec. 1926, Jan-June 1927). Condition: Fine / Near Fine. Appears unread, pages are clean, bright and binding tight. Ex-library with the usual stamps with a few neat library inscriptions in pencil. Some minor rubbing to extremities of hardback exteriors, a few creases and scuffs to a few magazine covers otherwise internally magazines are generally excellent, all pages included all front covers intact, only rear covers removed by library, appears seldom read or rarely seen outside the reference library department in nearly 100 years, scarce in any condition. Many iconic SA cover art illustrations by Howard V. Brown from the Golden Age with historical scientific articles. Many beautifully illustrated pulp steampunk airships and inventions. Howard V. Brown was known as one of the major "Big Four Sci-Fi Pulp Artists" of the 1930's who did the cover art for the most popular science fiction pulp magazines of the day; Astounding Science-Fiction, Argosy All-Story, The Popular Magazine, Thrilling Wonder Stories, Startling Stories and many more magazines from the Golden Age of Science Fiction.
