John Steinbeck
Of Mice and Men (1937) by John Steinbeck-hardback book
New York: Covici Friede Publishers. Printed and Copyright in 1937, this is a clean copy, First Edition, Second Printing with the word "loosely" not "pendula" on page 9 and no dot between the 8's on page 88. Printed and Bound in the US by the Haddon Craftmen Inc. The title is faded on the spine but the orange with black borders is still there. Tan cover with very little wear but some discoloring due to age. Pages are yellowed due to age but no folds, creases or tears. No marking throughout book except on the back of the last free page, there are small pencil scribbles. Binding is intact, 186 pages. Condition is better than good but not mint. No jacket. This was part of my father's estate, he inherited it from his Aunt. Fairly certain she was the original owner of the book. Fun fact: When Steinbeck gave the book to his publisher, he said "you don't even have to publish it, unless you like it", but he had doubts. His book went on to be one of the greatest classics ever! [Attributes: First Edition]
