A near-fine copy, the binding square and firm, the contents clean, in the jacket with light toning to spine, minor creasing to spine ends, tips rubbed, not price-clipped. First edition, first printing, with the first printing issue points: a digit missing to the ISBN on the copyright page, "adways" for "always" on line 15, p. 27, and the ISBN complete on the dust jacket rear flap. A River Runs Through It is Maclean's autobiographical collection of short stories, collecting "A River Runs Through It", "Logging and Pimping and 'Your pal, Jim'", and "USFS 1919: The Ranger, the Cook, and a Hole in the Sky". A film adaptation, starring Brad Pitt and directed by Robert Redford, was released in 1992 to critical acclaim, winning an Academy Award for Best Cinematography in 1993 and nominated for two other Oscars.
