Details: The book was organized by Lorenzo Pezzi and meant to give a summary of the Canon laws organized by the church council and an interpretation of each law. The book was published by Antonium de Gambaris. Lorenzo Pezzi was a 16th-century Italian emblematist who is primarily remembered for his work 'La Vigna de Signore'. The work work was controversial describing Catholic sacraments, with impressive woodcut illustrations by him. He used his illustrations as a platform for the Catholic Church in which in which he described heaven, purgatory, and hell. -The Book measures 5" inches in height by 3" inches in width and contains 92 complete Latin pages, including 7 beautifully illustrated woodcuts followed by index pages. -Errors and things to note: The binding is a beautiful parchment binding with leather gusset in very good condition with 92 crisp and readable pages with minor foxing. The pages have no rips or tears.
