As an added cool element, the inside of the front cover of each volume contains the library stamp of Willis Vickery, an Ohio Supreme Court judge and noted collector of fine bindings and whose collection was sold at auction in 1933 at Anderson Galleries, New York. A very important book on the subject. Published by Dodd, Mead and Company, New York, 1895. The bottoms of the insides of each volume are stamped as follows: Front Cover - "THE BOOKLOVERS SHOP CLEVELAND"; Back Cover - "HARDY MAILLARD PILON." The Biblio, Volume 1, circa 1913, edited by Harry Alfred Fowler, discusses "The Book-Lovers Shop," a new bindery "devoted entirely to art bindings." The article goes on to say that "Mm. Henry Hardy, Leon Maillard and Gaston Pilon" all from Paris and top experts in their field, were brought in by Robert Hoe.
