First Anglo-Sikh War: Despatches/Orders Sikh Army 1846 First Edition. Rare Work.
A very scarce book on the history of the First Anglo-Sikh War (1845-1846 c) documenting the "Despatches and General Orders Announcing the Victories Achieved by the Army of the Sutlej over the Sikh Army at Moodkee, Ferozeshah, Aliwal, & Sobraon" (December, 1845, & January & February, 1846). The book is in later binding and shows signs of ageing. Two double-page coloured maps of the battles of Aliwal and Sabraon. Small tears on a couple of pages with no loss to text at all. Perhaps an avid collector of Sikh antiquities could get it rebound in a more deserving form. An absolutely rare gem on Sikh history for sale. Please see images and do not hesitate to ask questions. London, J. & H. Cox, 1846. [Attributes: First Edition]
Bookseller: antiquarian [Edgware, GB]
