1777. Facsimile. Gorgeous: very Good Condition: Red and Black Title and Print throughout: missing the clasps to the locks: scuffing to the edges and corners; scuffing to the leather front and back: some foxing: some paper loss at bottom page edges from Frontispiece to "Martius" and similar at back with loss going higher up pages: actual sewn repair: silk ribbon markers mostly intact along with green silk ribbon inside: some foxing. A lovely massive "Missale Romanum" in wonderful condition--striking red and black printing throughout the text highlighting the various holy days and services. Lovely decorated capitals of cherubs throughout the first part and decorated capitals in the second part have buildings and landmarks. Beautiful Frontispiece of the angels bringing the word of God with a nice vignette on the title page of religious significance. silk page markers for opening to various services in green and white. Some minor foxing throughout. Very Good Condition: folio (16 5/8" X 11 1/4"): Leather Binding with gilt rectangle on front and back with center motif in gilt repeated in corners of rectangle: banded and ridged spine with gilt motifs in center: metal clasps, not complete but top and bottom still attached to the boards: scuffing at edges and corners: head and tail of spine solid: marbled endpapers on front and back board but not on facing pages: some nibbles to the paper at the corners, primarily at beginning and end: frontispiece intact along with vignette on title page: red and black print throughout: SEWN REPAIR on page 263: silk ribbons in cream and emerald gr … [Cliquez ci-dessous pour une description complète]
