This is the commentary on Suetonius' work The Lives of the Twelve Caesars, written in the early 2nd century AD, by Laevinus Torrentius, bishop of Antwerp in the late 16th century. Suetonius' work was especially important in the later research about the Historical Jesus and Early Christianity because he mentions "Chresto" and "Christian martyrs" (see pages 260, 262, 289 and 290 of our copy).
