1200. Jacketed hardcover in slipcase. Text and images clean and bright. Binding strong. Bound in black cloth with gilt titling, minimal to no wear to boards. Dust jacket has no flaws noted, and is in a mylar protective cover. Crease in mylar at front bottom flap corner is visible in photo; crease is to the mylar only, not the jacket. Slipcase clean and intact with just the mildest shelf rubbing. Please review all photos and feel free to ask any questions. Icon is the first volume of the Fenners' beautiful three volume series on Frazetta's art. The offered copy is number 989 in a limited numbered print run of 1,200. Due to Mr. Frazetta's health at the time of publication, the books in this limited edition are not hand-signed but rather have a facsimile signature and an embossed authenticity seal on the frontispiece. Please see inset at upper left of frontispiece photo, which gives a better view of the seal. This retrospective begins with Frazetta's early career at various publishers in the 1940s and his 1950s work on Buck Rogers and Lil' Abner series. Continuing forward even up to the 1990s, compositions for Edgar Rice Burroughs Tarzan, for the Robert E. Howard's Conan books and many, many more are included.
