AGATHA CHRISTIE - POIROT INVESTIGATES, published by UK publisher Bodley Head/John Lane, copyright 1924, First Printing, First State Boards - not export edition (no printing states listed on copyright page, just 'First Published in 1924" on copyright page, 14 pages of ads in rear of book, lists to just Christie's 3 prior books on list to left of title page, off-white endpapers, publisher's 1st state orange boards with art deco boarder design to spine & front board, no "Colonial Edition" stamp on copyright page (found on copies that were exported to Australia/New Zealand/Canada). Book has one creased page corner, no former owner or used bookstore markings/stamps inside, clean endpapers with no staining or tape residue, no foxing to pages, endpapers or outer page edges, slight dust soiling/age darkening to top outer page edge only, no complete internal tears to internal hinges, tight flat pages, slight spine sun darkening, no cloth wear-through to board edges, board corners or spine tips (hint of wear to spine tips corners only), no wear-through of cloth at left/right external hinges, usual but only slight dust/handling discoloration to boards, no dark soiling stains/discoloration to boards. Book also comes with a color facsimile of the UK 1st issue Dust jacket to provide protection from damage and to improve its appearance on a shelf. Overall a VG+/FINE- book a rare early 1920s era UK Bodley Head/John Lane Agatha Christie 1st printing of her 4th book.
