La Sculpture Decorative Moderne Henri Rapin Vol 2 & 3 Adnet Bouchard Lalique
1929. See Photos and Description. Two Volumes (#2 and #3) of "La Sculpture Decorative Moderne" by Henri Rapin, 1929. Published by Charles Moreau, Paris France. Portfolio of images and text referencing the Exposition of Decorative Art in Paris, 1925 and to which we commonly reference as the origin of the term "Art Deco". Original string tie portfolio with cloth binding and decorative printed paper boards. Each portfolio contains eight pages of text and thirty-two half tone plates. The exterior boards are in very good condition with some fading and wear as indicated in the photos. The original string ties are fully intact and operational. The bindings are also intact. The plates and text pages are in very good - excellent condition with no library stamping or notations. The half tone plates are in remarkable condition and the paper is showing a bit of browning at the very edges but does not affect the plates. All in all, this is one of the nicest sets I have discovered. Includes works by Jean and Jacques Adnet, G. Artemoff, Bouchard, Ecolle Boulle, Rene Lalique, Celine LePage and many other artists and designers pivotal to the Art Deco movement. Visit: for more great items like this!
