Extreme rare in very good condition for a very good price: Martin Luther, 'Bücher unnd Schrifften' 7 of 8 volumes of the rare Jena edition (without volume 1), edited by Georg Rörer, Johann Stoltz and Johannes Aurifaber. T. Rebarts Erben, Jena, starting from 1573 Total weight: Approx. 16 kg (!) Enclosed on the last image is a part of the original description (including Volume 1 which is missing) of the auction house Dorotheum/Vienna (has been written by the expert there). Very good condition with only minor defects. All closures available! (Please also note our detailed photos) This rare work was acquired about 15 years ago at the auction house Dorotheum Vienna and thoroughly examined by their experts! Jenaer edition of Georg Rörer, Johann Stoltz and Johannes Aurifaber. Georg Rörer had already been in charge of the Wittenberg Complete Edition until 1551. This was however in the criticism because of the accusation of text omissions and the admission of Luther pushed in writings. For this reason, the complete edition to be printed in Jena was only taken into account in the original texts and chronological order of the texts attributed to Luther. The issue was printed unchanged from 1555-58 (1st print), 1560-62 (2nd print), 1562-63 (3rd print), 1572-80 (4th print), 1585-1600 (5th print).
