The Country Life Library, 1920. 78 pages. H.S. Colt had a hand in the design of the famed Pine Valley. Colt also designed the new course at Sunningdale, where he also served as the first secretary of the club. He also designed Swinley Forest and St. George's Hill outside London. Colt and Alison's golf course architecture design firm was involved in designing or remodeling over 300 golf courses worldwide. This book talks about their design philosophy, how to construct a course, placement of bunkers. The book contains several photographs of Pine Valley during construction and right after completion. Jacket has some chipping as seen in the image and spine has some minor soiling. Spine coming loose from binding but still attached. Donovan & Murdoch 12800; Murdoch 141; D & J C16810.
