THE CARP STRIKES BACK. By Rod Hutchinson.

Wonderdog Publications. Louth, Lincs. - 1983 1st edition. Hardback issue. 8vo (152 x 216mm). Ppviii,271. Colour & b/w photographs, b/w illustrations. Brown boards, spine titled in gilt. Spine just slightly faded else very good in dust-wrapper. Signed by the author on the front end-paper "Catch fish, have fun, Regards, Rod Hutchinson." Rod Hutchinson's classic and still considered to be perhaps the most inspiring writing on modern carp fishing. Written contributions from Chris Yates, Paul Gummer, Dick Caldwell, Roger Smith, Brian Hankins, Mike Wilson and Bob Jones. Well worth a read as well as being highly collectible. First edition hardback copies such as this have now become very scarce. * The dust-wrapper spine on the hardback issue is usually extremely faded. This particular copy is very slightly faded but looks quite presentable. [Attributes: First Edition; Signed Copy; Hard Cover]

Mensch und Gesundheit Länder - Völker - Kontinente (3 Bände) ? Das Reich der Pflanzen ? Technik in unserer Welt ? Spektrum der Kunst ? Spektrum der Literatur ? Spektrum der Naturwissenschaften ? Panorama der Weltgeschichte (3 Bände) Wege zu Wissen und Bildung ? Atlas International

Dreispaltige Textgliederung. Statt Fachlatein verständliche Stichworterklärung. Durchgehender Mehrfarbendruck.         CATHEDRAL

New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1983. First Edition. Hardcover. Fine in a Fine dustwrapper. Although his previous collection achieved some popularity, this title is really Carver's breakthrough and break-away (from the restraints of Gordon Lish's style) book. In it, Carver moved beyond the constraining label of minimalism to mine an emotional depth not present in his previous work and which would blossom fully in his next and last book. The title story and "A Small, Good Thing" rank among the best stories of the latter twentieth century. SIGNED by the author on the title page.
