Ten days before he resigned, President Nixon congratulates a supportive Republican Congressman and his wife who will be celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary three weeks later

Washington, D.C., July 30, 1974 Typed Letter Signed ?RN? as President, 1 page, 6.75? x 9?. On pale green White House stationery with blind embossed presidential seal at top center. To Congressman and Mrs. C.W. Bill Young, St. Petersburg, Florida. Fine condition. In full, ?Dear Marian and Bill: Pat and I were delighted to learn that you will be celebrating your twenty-fifth wedding anniversary on August 20. We would like to join with your family and friends in expressing our heartfelt congratulations to you. Your life together gives eloquent testimony to the great good that can come when two people with love for one another -- and with shared ideals -- commit themselves to one another. With our warm wishes always ...? It may seem strange that the President would send a congratulatory letter to Congressman and Mrs. Young three weeks before their August 20th silver wedding anniversary. But Nixon had undoubtedly seen that day?s ?Washington Post? banner headline ?2d Impeachment Article Voted? (8.5? x 11? photocopy included) and, perhaps, wanted to make sure that Congressman Young knew how he felt about him while he was still President. A month earlier, in ?The Washington Post,? in an article headlined ?Prejudgment Charge Is Rejected by Rodino,? House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rodino denied that he had said that all 21 Committee Democrats were prepared to vote to impeach Nixon. Young was quoted in the article: ??Maybe a scenario has been worked out in advance,?? suggested Rep. C.W. (Bill) Young (R-Fla.).? Republican Charles William (Bill) Young represented Florida in the House of Representatives from 1971-2014. At the time of his death, he was the senior Republican in Congress, having served over 42 years. Young was a delegate to the Republican National Conventions which nominated Nixon in 1968 and 1972, Ford in 1976, and Reagan in 1984.

Luz y agua. Versión castellana Victoria Ocampo. Libero Badii Grabados-Diagramación, Buenos Aires, (Imprenta Anzilotti), 1974.

        STARFALL

New York: Thomas Y. Crowell. Very Good in Very Good dust jacket. 1974. 1st Edition; 1st Printing. Hardcover. B&W Photographs; SIGNED EDITION. The book and its contents are in Very Good condition with a Very Good dust jacket. There is a light crease / bump to the top inside front corner of the book with a smaller, matching crease / bump to the top rear corner. The edges of the text block have some light toning. The text pages are clean and bright. The dust jacket has several tears, rubbed spots and chips missing to the spine ends and corners. This copy has been signed by the author Betty Grissom, and her two sons (Scott & Mark) on the front endpaper. Betty Grissom is the widow of Gus Grissom, who was scheduled to be the first man on the moon, and instead became a victim of a flash fire in the Apollo Command module. It is exceedingly rare to find the signature of all three members of the Grissom family. "In this compelling personal account, Betty Grissom and Henry Still chart the progress of the space program from a unique vantage point and take it from its first faltering steps to the successful Apollo moonshots, as seen through the eyes of those most intimately involved with it. Running parallel to this is Betty's progression from a small-town Indiana girl who married her high-school sweetheart to the plaintiff in a ten million damage suit against North American Rockwell , builders of the Apollo Spacecraft."; Signed by Author .
