Carl Andre - Robert Barry - Douglas Huebler - Joseph Kosuth - Sol Lewitt - Robert Morris - Lawrence Weiner. December 1968.

New York. Siegelaub / Wendler. 1968 - First edition 1000 copies. 28 x 22 cm. 185 Blatt. OKarton. The "Xerox book" - I now would prefer to call it the "Photocopy book", so that no one gets the mistaken impression that the project has something to do with XEROX - was perhaps one of the most interesting because it was the first where I proposed a series of "requirements" for the project, concerning the use of a standard size paper and the amount of pages the "container" within wich the artist was asked to work". [Vgl.         Write in For President Dick Gregory Mark Lane Vice President

[N.-pl.]: [Freedom and Peace Party], [1968]. Poster Poster. Fine. Poster printed in blue ink, 22 by 29 inches. In 1968, the African American comedian and civil rights activist Dick Gregory ran a presidential campaign under the Freedom and Peace party banner (a splinter group of the Peace and Freedom party). That a comedian would mount a campaign for president suggested that the whole political process was a joke. That he was black only called attention to the fact that the idea of a black president was virtually unthinkable, a joke, in fact. Fine.
