        Twenty-Fifth Anniversary

Dumbarton Oaks Research Library, Washington DC 1965 - Quarto volume bound in green buckram and lettered in gilt at the spine. Contains three addresses which were presented on October 31, 1965 in celebration of the Twenty-Fifth Anniversary of the founding of Dumbarton Oaks. John S. Thacher gave the Opening Remarks followed by Sirarpie Der Nersessian's address on "Scholarship in Byzantine Art and Archaeology 1940-1965." Then Romilly J. H. Jenkins discusses "Scholarship in Byzantine History and Literature 1940-1965." Then Dr. Ernst Kitzinger, Director of Studies, gives the "Concluding Remarks." This appears as a non-published work. It is a bound volume of copies of single sided elite type with several hand made corrections and edits. There is a laid in hand-written letter from Dr. Kitzinger to Mrs. Bliss, dated April 11, 1966, presenting this copy to her. Along with her husband, Robert Woods Bliss, Mildred Barnes Bliss, established the Dumbarton Oaks Research Library and donated the estate, collections and gardens to Harvard University. The letter addressed to Mrs. Bliss mentions that there is another copy of the Twenty-Fifth Anniversary volume in the Dumbarton Oaks Library. 63 pp of text. Obviously extremely scarce and quite probably the only available copy now existing. Fine. [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]

        Stockholmer Gesamtausgabe der Werke.

18 Werke (alles Erschienene), dazu: "Neue Studien". Insges. 21 Bände. Zus. 12912 Seiten. Insgesamt hervorragend erhalten. Potempa A.4. 1965. 65.-69. Tsd. 2) Der Zauberberg. 1959. 165.-168. Tsd. 3) Joseph und seine Brüder. 2 Bde. 1962. 14.-16. Tsd. 4) Adel des Geistes. 1959. 14.-17. Tsd. 5) Erzählungen. 1960. 11.-15. Tsd. 6) Buddenbrooks. 1965. 1185.-1188. Tsd. 7) Doktor Faustus. 1965. 71.-75. Tsd. 8) Der Erwählte. 1959. 21.-22. Tsd. 9) Altes und Neues. 1961. 9.-13. Tsd. 10) Bekenntnisse des Hochstaplers Felix Krull. 1957. 84.-106. Tsd. 11) Königliche Hoheit. 1959. 164.-166. Tsd. 1. Auflage. 12) Betrachtungen eines Unpolitischen. 1956. 1. Auflage. 13) Nachlese. 1956. EA WG 145. 14) Reden und Aufsätze. 1965. 2 Bände. EA. Mit OUmschlägen. 15) Briefe 1889 - 1936. 1962. 14.-19. Tsd. 16) Briefe 1937 - 1947. 1963. EA. 17) Briefe 1948 - 1955 und Nachlese. 1965. EA. 18) Die Entstehung des Doktor Faustus. 1966. 24.-27.
