The album begins with a photo from a Y.M.C.A. boy's camp in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Camp Durrell. Boys are seen throughout the album camping, posing by tents, hiking, and swimming. There are also family photos interspersed throughout showing his family around their home, playing in the snow, with farm animals, and posing with pets. Also featured are well-composed images of Massachusetts with photos of sailboats off the coast, lighthouses, and the sea. Boys are also seen in baseball uniforms posing as a group and individually with bats and gloves. Later in the album young men are posed by tents with have banners which read Amherst and Harvard as well as photos of them boating and playing musical instruments. Towards the end of the album there are four photos of men in World War I uniforms dated 1918. The final pages show a hike from 1920 with photos of the rolling hills and men posed on the top of a mountain. A modest but nice collection detailing a young man's life in Massachusetts through World War I. .

        Alcools.

[AUTOMATIC ENGLISH TRANSLATION FOLLOWS] First edition, a first impression copy numbered in the press, of which there were only 23 large paper copies on Hollande. Flexible burnished black Bradel paper binding with floral motifs by P. Goy & Vilaine, purple morocco titlepiece, gilt date at foot of spine, endpapers and pastedowns of paper with floral and silver motifs, covers preserved. A rare autograph inscription by Guillaume Apollinaire : "A Edouard Gazanion, son ami, Guillaume Apollinaire [to Edouard Gazanion, his friend Guillaume Apollinaire]". This copy also has seven pen and ink corrections by Apollinaire himself. Edouard Gazanion, for his part, also inserted numerous punctuation marks in pencil and a textual correction matching the pre-published versions of some poems, which had previously appeared in the literary journal Phalange. A poet from the Bohemian Montmartre scene at the turn of the century, a pillar of the Lapin Agile, a regular at the Bouscarat on the place du Tertre and the Bateau Lavoir, Gazanion was by turns friendly or close to the poets, writers and painters of the Butte at the beginning of their careers, including Max Jacob, Mac Orlan, Dorgelès, Gaston Couté, Salmon, Picasso, Warnod, Marcoussis and Carco who liked his Chansons pour celle qui n'est pas venue [Songs for the Girl who did not Come] (Vers et Prose, 1910) and who often crashed at his when he was broke. His meeting with Apollinaire goes back to the Soleil d'Or, when the latter was reading his Nuit Rhénane for the first time - in 1903. Both poets, they kept in touch from then on. Gazanion stood out for his defense of Mamelles de Tirésias during the memorable scandal when it was staged. With a frontispiece portrait of Apollinaire by Picasso. A tiny angular lack to foot of first endpaper, bearing the inscription. A good copy in an elegant signed binding, with a rare autograph inscription by Apollinaire.         CARNACKI, THE GHOST-FINDER

Eveleigh Nash, 1913., London - First edition. The U. S. edition wasn't issued until 1947. Lightly sunned on the spine and with a bit of scattered foxing to the interior else near fine. Nine short stories of which THE FIND is a bibliomystery. Thomas Carnacki is an investigator into strange, possibly supernatural events, usually involving haunted rooms or houses. In THE FIND Carnacki, while talking to his friend Jones, learns of the existence of a second copy of The Dumply Acrostics. To Carnacki’s knowledge, this is impossible as only one copy exists, and it is in the Caylen Museum. The book was written by John Dumpley and presented to Queen Elizabeth on her fortieth birthday. Supposedly, the type was distributed and the manuscript burnt immediately after printing that one copy for the Queen. Carnacki is hired to investigate the existence of a second copy. Queen's Quorum 53 and an uncommon to scarce book. Housed in a cloth, clamshell case with titles stamped in gold gilt on the front cover and spine. [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]

The Interpretation of Dreams. Authorised Translation of Third Edition with Introduction by A. A. Brill.

London: George Allen & Company, Ltd, 1913 - Octavo. Original grey-blue cloth, spine and front cover lettered gilt. Spine slightly faded, tips a little rubbed, newspaper clippings to verso of front free endpaper and first blank. A beautiful, unusually bright copy. First edition in English, first impression, first state (UK issue). With the publisher's tipped-in label stating that the sale of the book is "limited to Members of the Medical, Scholastic, Legal and Clerical professions". Intended to be a medical handbook, this book is not often found in such nice condition, and is the scarcer of the two states (the other being the first edition sheets bound with the Macmillan cancel title page for issue in America). It was originally published as Die Traumdeutung (Lepizig & Vienna 1900), and this translation by Abraham Brill, the Austrian-born psychiatrist and the first psychoanalyst to practice in the United States, introduced Freud to English-speaking world for the first time. "This is unquestionably Freud's greatest single work. It contains all the basic components of psychoanalytic theory and practice; the erotic nature of dreams, the 'Oedipus complex', the libido, and the rest; all related to the background of the 'unconscious', later to be called the 'sub-conscious'" (PMM). Einband etwas fleckig.
