Spine faded, a couple of marks to covers, internally fresh. An excellent copy. With 28 maps and illustrations. First US edition, first printing. Presentation copy, inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper, "Inscribed for Edna Leila Rothschild, by Winston S. Churchill. Atlanta City, 1932." Churchill was in the States lecturing on "The Pathway for the English Speaking Peoples", and visited Atlanta for three days at the end of February 1932 with his eldest daughter, Diana. Cohen A91.2.a.
