Macmillan & Co, London 1872 - First printing, finely bound by Bayntun-Riviere in full red leather, lettered and decorated in gilt, with marbled endpapers and gilt to all edges of the page block, the spine is a trifle faded and there are a few minor rubs to the edges. The text block is slightly toned with some faint spots of foxing, it is free from inscriptions, the original cloth is bound in at the rear and the half-title and final page of adverts have been retained. A handsomely bound first edition of Carroll's much loved tale. [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]
