Green Eggs and Ham - Seuss, Dr - 1960.
Random House, 1960 Random House, New York, 1960. Pictorial Hardcover. Very good in a very good dust jacket, price-clipped. First printing possesses all points in Younger 'First Editions of Dr. Seuss.' Some chips and wear on jacket, previous owner?s name on front free endpaper, but this is the true first edition including the references to ?Distributed by Random House? (rather than ?A Division of Random House?) on the title page and dust jacket. The first edition of this classic book was published in 1960 before Random House bought Beginner Books, Inc. and made it a division of the company, which in turn made Random House the biggest seller of children?s books in the United States. This is NOT the extremely rare first issue with the 50 Word Vocabulary sticker glued to the front of the dust jacket. Green Eggs and Ham is Dr. Seuss?s best selling book, having sold well over 8 million copies, and it is ranked fourth in the Publisher?s Weekly survey of all-time best-selling children?s books. Incidentally, Dr. Seuss has six titles in the top 20 of this list, and 10 in the top 40, by far more than any other author.. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good.
