The Fleuron, London 1929 - Edition De Luxe. The Frontispiece being an original Wood-Engraving, 'The Two Tugs', by John Nash, signed in pencil. 'Of this Special Edition of The Woodcut: An Annual, there have been printed on hand-made paper eighty copies, of which seventy five are for sale. This is No 12.' Published by The Fleuron, 1929. Orange buckram boards. PP.78. T.E.G. Printed at The Curwen Press and includes, 'The Wood-Engravings of John Nash by W.A. Thorpe', illustrated with wood-engravings. As well as various articles etc, plus 'Fourteen Contemporary Woodcuts': which include work by Gwendolen Raverat, Tirzah Garwood, Gertrude Hermes and Aristide Maillol; plus examples by Russian and other European artists on hand-made paper printed recto only. The Dust Jacket is a patterned paper design by Althea Willoughby with a piece missing on both the front and the back. The orange buckram binding is in near fine condition.
