FIRST EDITION 1788. 12mo approximately 160 x 100 mm, 6¼ x 4 inches, 26 woodcuts by John Bewick, pages: , 4-120 plus 10 pages of A LIST of BOOKS PUBLISHED by the Rev. Dr. Trusler, 1790, new plain leather spine, old marbled boards with family tree printed on them. Boards rubbed and stained, corners worn with board showing at tips, 2 short closed tears neatly repaired, no loss, hardly noticeable, the last 3 pages of text have a small nick to fore-edge and all the catalogue pages have 2 small nicks to fore-edges, first free endpaper has neat repair to lower margin, a few tiny marks to margins, occasional pale foxing, slight age-browning, old ink names to first free endpaper, inner hinges cracked, binding sound, floral decorated book-plate on first pastedown of Irene Gosse, author of "A Florilege: Chosen From the Old Herbals" .
