London, Paris, published for the Egoist Press, London by John Rodker, Paris, 1922, 8Â° (23 x 18 cm), 8 leaves (inclusive half-title, title, & for leaves of errata), 732 pp., 1 leaf (imprimatur), blue buckram, author & title in gilt, top edge gilt (contemporary binding, the two original "Aegean" blue wrappers are bound in).The first (original) edition of Ulysses was published by Shakespeare and Company in February 1922 (1000 copies). A second printing using the same plates took place in November of the same year in Paris for the Egoist Press, London (2000 copies). This first English (UK) edition differs from the first (Paris) edition by 5 supplementary leaves (the publishers apologizer and 4 errata leaves). Copy nÂ° 1916 (of 2000). SLOCUM/CAHOON A18. The spine of the buckram binding discoloured. Fly leaves slightly foxed otherwise a clean, fresh copy. Name on fly (Charles Harding).
