Derriere le Miroir, No.151-152 - Les peintures - Miró, Joan, and Jacques Dupin - 1965.
Paris:: Maeght,, 1965.. First Edition, First Printing.. Wraps. Very Near Fine. 32 unnumbered pages. 38 mm. Tall folio. (15" x 11"). Original lithographic wrappers. Book Condition: Very near fine. As called for 26 pages of original lithographs by Miro, including 4 double page, and 3 in black on brown paper. Portfolio with 22 original lithographs, printed 2 sided. 3 are double page including the cover. Sheets loose as issued. Mourlot, 360-381. Cramer, 102. All the lithographs retain the brilliant, vibrant colors they had when they were printed. A sharp copy of a particularly special edition of this influential series. In French. Note the scarcity of offerings of this issue as a complete book; the profitability of breaking the book up into its composite parts and selling each lithograph separately threatens the existence of complete copies, which only become more and more rare (and coveted) as time goes by. This listing is for the entire book complete, as it was conceptualized and published in 1965, by the august genius behind this whole highly influential DLM series, Aime Maeght, Directeur -Gerant , Derriere le Miroir.
