The Joy of Cooking - Rombauer, Irma S - 1931.
A. C. Clayton Printing Co. 1931 - First edition, first printing. About Very Good. Light fraying to cloth at corners and spine ends, with a ding to the fore edge of the front board. Insect wear to edge of page block and front free end paper. Pages toned, occasionally stained and with a few creased corners, but in general the text is clear and legible. Possible glue repair to front three leaves, as the joints seem a bit artificially tight. Initially self-published by the author with a small print run of 3,000 copies, this classic has gone on to become the most published cookbook in America. Adorned with charming illustrations by the author's daughter, Marion. [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]
