The Claverings was originally serialized in the Cornhill Magazine in sixteen installments from February 1866 to May 1867. The first (book) edition was published in America in 1866 according to the publication date, but many (including Sadlier) dispute the accuracy of the date: the first British edition is preferred. Sadlier 27. A few spots of soiling to interiors, light rubbing to bindings, very mild toning to spines. An extremely good copy. [Attributes: First Edition; Soft Cover]
