Printed in red and black on Japan paper on one side of the leaf only. Printed in a stylized type with the Fitzgerald fourth version on the versos and the Sufi interpretations on the rectos en face. This copy with two original mounted watercolors, the first highlighted in gold. Extra title page illustrated in color also highlighted in gold. Bound by Blackwell in half dark green crushed morocco with marbled sides and endpapers, t.e.g., This Rubaiyat was issued in different iterations: Potter no. 252 is an edition on Ruysdall paper, also 168 copies on Jap. paper; and 5 signed copies. Coumans no. 1000 is 26 copies of the Ramazan edition with additional watercolors and illustrations.Still a rare and fascinating Sufi interpretation of Omar's verse.
