Spines rebacked with newer brown leather. 5 raised bands with red and black gilt stamped leather title labels. Marbled end sheets. Yellow page edges. Front and rear hinges all volumes reinforced with maroon cloth. 1867 ink signature of "M S Quay Harrisburg, Pa 1874" on the front end sheets for all volumes. Tiny name of "Cecil and Larkins" printed top edge verso of the marbled right front flyleaf's all volumes. The first two volumes are the second edition published in London 1760 and 1768. Volume 3 was published posthumously in London by John Murray in 1828. Hutchinson was the last Colonial Governor of Massachusetts. He fled America at the start of the American Revolution. Howes H 853.
