Regrettably, I must decline. I am heavily overcommitted, which precludes me from participating. I am grateful for your thoughtfulness, but hope you understand. / Best Regards / signed Gerald R. Ford". An as new first printing with only a small chip in bottom front corner, previous seller comment in pencil on front FFE, otherwise as new. Blue cloth with gold engraving of Presidential signature on cover and author, title, publisher on spine. As new in near fine jacket.Professor Moorhead was the Chairperson of the Department of Philosophy at Northeastern Illinois University, Chicago. The first book referred to was "The Meaning of Life", Chicago Press, Chicago, 1988. 'What are the results of twenty-one months of Jerry Ford as President of the United States?" I asked the depot crowd at Durand, then proceed to tell them: "We have restored trust in the White House. We been open. We have been candid. We have been forthright.
