Limited Edition, signed by author & illustrator, & with colored woodcuts signed by Baskin. # 22 of 18 copies (of a total of 26). - [Colophon]: "26 copies of Sibyls were issued in the warm winter of 1991. Handmade papers were used throughout. The type is van Krimpen's Spectrum cast & set at Golgonooza Letter Foundry. The woodcuts were printed in color by Arthur Larson, the letterpress by Daniel Keleher, both of Hadley, Mass. The edition is arranged as follows: eight copies, numbered 1-8, have an extra suite of woodcuts printed in black and white, an impression in color from an additional woodcut, a drawing by Leonard Baskin, and one of the blocks. Eighteen copies, numbered 9-26, comprise the regular edition. This is copy no. 22 [of the regular edition], [signed] Leonard Baskin Ruth Fainlight". Size of outer, cloth-covered clamshell box: 16 1/4 x 23 3/4 x 1 3/4", containing a cloth-covered portfolio with title label on front cover; with 14 printed folios on handmade (Moulin du Gue) paper (including titlepage & colophon page, with unsigned, color woodcuts), & 12 folios with printed poem on left & mounted, color woodcut on Japanese (Hosho & Sekishu) papers, on right hand page, each signed & numbered (22/26) under the lower edge. Titles of poems & woodcuts:  Squatting At The Womb's Mouth;  Sibyl Hands;  Facts About The Sibyl;  After Possession;  Profiles;  His Face;  Dreamy;  Weighty;  Inward;  What Greater God .  Elegant Sibyl;  The Egg Mother. Box & portfolio are bound in dark green textured cloth with black cloth inner lining on box & with gray paper-covered inner covers on portfolio; gray paper title labels on spine of box & front cover of portfolio with title SIBYLS (with author's names on spine label) in large gold letters.
