Art Work of the State of Oregon: Edition - Williams, George H., Benjamin A. Giff - 1909.
Unpaginated (26 pp.) introductory text by Williams on the early history, settlement, and industry of Oregon, followed by 80 photogravure plates, most by Gifford, a few attributed to Harney, documenting the state's coastal regions, forests, rivers, waterfalls, mountains, ports, cities, and farming communities. Small folio. Cloth, with trace evidence of gently removed library markings on the inside front and rear covers. Portland (The W. D. Harney Photogravure Co.) 1909. A spectacular collection of fine photogravure images depicting Oregon at a time of transition from pristine wilderness to regional center for commerce, agriculture, and industry. Originally published serially in 9 parts, loose as issued in wrpps. folders; the present work is a complete run.
