THE OFFICIAL PROGRAM OF THE 1935 INAUGURATION OF THE NEW PRESIDENT AND VICE-PRESIDENT, INSCRIBED BY BOTH THE PRESIDENT (MANUEL QUEZON) AND THE VICE-PRESIDENT (SERGIO OSMENA) IN THE YEAR OF THE INAUGURATION underneath their official portraits in the program. The program itself is solid and bright and easily VG+ in its ribbon-tied, beige card wrappers, with just a touch of light staining at the front panel's lower-edge. The inscriptions as well --in their blue ink-- are clear and completely legible. Quarto, printed glassine endpapers, lavish color rendering (with gilt-bordering) of the proud Phillipines flag. "Manuel Quezon served as president of the Commonwealth of the Philippines from 1935 to 1944. He was the first Philippino to head a government of the Philippines and is considered to have been the second president of the Philippines, after Emilio Aguinaldo (1897-1901). Quezon was the first president elected through a national election and the first incumbent to secure a re-election. He is a lso known as the 'Father of the National Language'"
