A Farewell to Arms (SIGNED) - Hemingway, Ernest - 1929. 
Grosset & Dunlap, Publishers 1929 - Black cloth hardcover with red title labels on spine and front; no jacket; new clear plastic protector. Inscribed and signed in black ink by Hemingway on the blank leaf preceding the half-title page: "For W. N. Gardner, wishing him all good luck, Ernest Hemingway." Good plus condition : cloth on spine very slightly faded; spine label faded from red to orange; mild spotting to boards; mild wear to top and bottom edges of binding with slight loss of cloth at corners and head of spine; straight and tight; light toning to endpapers; very slight occasional flaw to pages but they are really in quite nice condition. Published by Grosset & Dunlap in arrangement with Charles Scribner's Sons (imprint on title page); copyright page states 1929 but probably issued circa 1931/ 8vo; (viii), 356 pages. The binding agrees with Hanneman A8d, but lacks the blindstamped G&D logo on the front cover. It retains the Scribner printing information on the title page, and the Scribner seal on the copyright page. The page block measures 8-1/16 by 5-1/2 inches.
