G. Ricordi & Co., [Rome 1971 - Oblong folio (34cm x 50cm); six unnumbered leaves, comb-bound into bright pink card covers; text is in English and Italian. Presentation inscription by Dashow on title page: "To Maggie - the direct cause of this piece. With thanx! / James / 28 March, 1972 / Roma." Several cracks and a few losses to comb-binding, light toning to text edges, with small loss to lower right corner of rear wrapper and terminal leaf; covers scuff and lightly edgeworn, with a few small splash marks to rear wrapper; Very Good, presentable copy. Musical score by Dashow, reproduced from holograph, utilizing text from Kerouac's Desolation Angels. The volume consists of Dashow's score (for soprano, with electronic accompaniment), with lyrics, notations, and cues printed in English and Italian. Dashow (b.1944) is a Chicago-born composer of electro-acoustic music and opera, among the earliest to compose music for digital audio synthesis. Rare; not in Charters, and not found in Bradford Morrow's catalog of the Walter Reuben Collection of Jack Kerouac. OCLC finds a single copy at NYPL. [Attributes: First Edition; Signed Copy]
