The State of Innocence and Fall of Man An Opera - Dryden, John - 1677.
Henry Herringman 1677 - Either the 1677 or the 1678 edition, that much can be deduced from the pagination. It is bound in early 20th Century half leather with marbled boards and gilt titles to the spine, which, perhaps over confidently, identify it as the 1677 edition. Seemingly complete, though the title page and final page have only just survived and the remains have been conserved, otherwise the pages are toned and slightly foxed, with minor damage to the edges. Either the first or second edition of Dryden's interpretation of Milton's Paradise Lost, a very uncommon find. [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]
