JONATHAN CAPE 1954 - Jonathan Cape, London, 1954 First Edition, First Printing of LIVE AND LET DIE by Ian Fleming. Near fine crisp, clean book. Scarce second title in the James Bond series, after Casino Royale. These books are extremely rare with only 7,500 copies of the first edition printed. Original crisp black covered boards in beautiful condition. The book has sharp corners and no edgewear. Some of the typical oxidizing/fading of the gilt medallion and titles. The binding is tight and square. The end papers are clean and bright with a small ink squiggle, and with No foxing, No stains, No owner names, No bookplates and No bookstore stamps. The internal pages are clean, bright and crisp with but two pages with a soft faded handling mark, otherwise No foxing, No handling marks, No stains, No bent pages, and No foxing. One tiny dot to outer page block. A clean, tidy example of this elusive first edition, first impression Fleming book with no issues. Please see images for details.
