Part I (Vol 25) 692pp, Chapters 1 to 35 include 'The Causes of the World War' , 'The League of Nations: What it has Accomplished' 'The United States Becomes a World Power' etc. with numerous illustrations - b/w photographs, and fold-out maps etc. Internally in excellent condition, tightly bound with crisp, bright pages. Quarter leather binding over spine very worn and part missing, red boards unworn. Part II (vol 26) 695pp. Chapters 36 to 84 include 'Boer and Briton in South Africa', 'Radium, Its Discovery and its Possibilities by Madame Curie', 'The Political Awakening of Women' etc. As with Vol 25, internally pristine with numerous illustrations, photographs, maps etc. Cover in better condition as leather intact though rather worn along spine, gilt titles present.
